Steven Michaelson

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Steven has spent over 35 years in the advertising industry, more than 25 of them in pharmaceuticals. He gained industry-wide recognition as the Founder and CEO of Wishbone, a highly successful and unique start-up that thrived for 13 years and was awarded "Agency of the Year" in 2009. Wishbone was eventually acquired by Rosetta and then by Publicis.

Continuing in that tradition, Steven founded Calcium in 2012, pulling together the original Wishbone partners to help guide and run it.

Prior to starting Wishbone, Steven held creative leadership positions at KPR, FCB, Harrison Star, and Robert A. Becker. He has created successful campaigns for such brands as Mevacor, Zocor, Glucophage, Plavix, EpiPen, Depakote, and Diovan.

Before entering the pharmaceutical industry, Steven did award-winning work for clients like Ford, Lanvin, Absolute, Omni and Penthouse magazines, and Sasson jeans.

Steven is married with three children and lives in New York City and East Hampton, NY.
When he is not working or spending time with his family, you can find him
on the tennis court.

Judy Capano

Managing Partner, Chief Operating Officer

Judy brings more than 25 years of experience on both the pharma client
side and agency side to her position as COO for Calcium.

Before co-founding Calcium, Judy was partner/chief strategy officer at Wishbone. Prior to that, as COO/strategy officer for McCann Torre Lazur she ran the global agency network and was responsible for mergers/acquisitions and startups. Before that, Judy was EVP, director of client services at Harrison and Star.

Judy began her career in sales, hospital sales, training, and sales management for Marion Merrell Dow before moving to the agency side.

Judy is a graduate of Siena College. She is married with three children (who look strikingly similar to Steven's kids) and lives in New York City and East Hampton, NY.

Steve Hamburg

Managing Partner, Chief Creative Officer

Steve has been practicing the art (and science) of creativity and strategy for over 25 years. He was fortunate to get his start in consumer advertising, where he developed strong foundational skills in creative and strategy working on large-scale consumer accounts. But, given his strong background in science and technology, Steve eventually re-located to the healthcare space, where he’s stayed–and thrived–ever since.

Steve is an idea-driven creative leader with strong skills in strategy, conceptual thinking, branding, copy, design, and digital. He's fluent in high science (e.g. immuno-oncology, rare diseases), but also accomplished at creating compelling communications across a wide range of categories and disciplines, including DTC and consumer. Steve is skilled at building, managing, and inspiring creative departments to consistently generate work of the highest caliber–ideas and initiatives that are bold, unique, and activating, driving meaningful (and measurable) results for brands and clients.

Prior to Calcium, Steve was CCO at LLNS/Omnicom and Chief Creative Partner at Rosetta, the largest independent digital agency at the time. He was also Partner and CCO at Wishbone, a creative-focused “Agency of the Year” winner. Other key positions were held at NCI/Publicis, KPR/Omnicom, and Sudler/WPP.

Steve's work has been recognized with numerous awards, and he's served as a jury member for most of the major award shows. Steve also contributes regularly to a variety of industry publications.

Steve is a magna cum laude graduate of Brown University, where he studied both science and the humanities. He also studied at the Rhode Island School of Design.

Don Feiler

Partner, Chief Digital Officer

For many years now, Don Feiler has been in the vanguard of helping agencies and marketers transform the ways they think about targeting and reaching customers and providing them with rich and relevant content that can be customized to their individual needs. In short, Don has been a strong advocate for helping our industry “think digitally.”

But, always tireless, Don remains on the forefront of discovering leading-edge technological solutions and making them actually work to help drive success for brands and businesses.

Prior to joining Calcium, Don founded and ran a boutique digital services company, Archetype Digital Solutions, Inc., that supplied digital support for Philly-area pharma agencies, among other offerings.
